UniPay charges a Tier Service Rate on each UniCash payment you receive. Payouts to your bank account are always free. Starter has no monthly fee — Growth, Business, and Enterprise tiers include a monthly subscription.

Changing your tier
You can switch tiers at any time from the UniPay app under Settings → Billing. Changes take effect immediately. There are no penalties for upgrading or downgrading.
How the Tier Service Rate is applied
When a customer pays you:
- The payment amount is received into your UniPay balance
- The Tier Service Rate is deducted from that payment at the time of receipt
- Your balance updates immediately with the net amount
For example, if you receive a payment of 1,000 UNC on the Growth tier (1.0%), your balance increases by 990 UNC. When you request a payout, you receive the full 990 UNC equivalent — no further deduction.
Are there any other fees?
Beyond the Tier Service Rate and monthly subscription (where applicable), UniPay does not charge:
- Setup or onboarding fees
- Terminal activation fees (beyond hardware cost)
- Fees for Xero or MYOB integration
- Payout fees — bank payouts are always free
