UniPay integrates directly with Xero and MYOB so your sales and payouts reconcile automatically in your accounting software. No manual data entry, no CSV imports.
Available on Growth and above. Xero and MYOB integration is included on the Growth (1.0%), Business (0.8%), and Enterprise (0.6%) tiers. Not available on Starter.
What gets synced
Once connected, the following data flows from UniPay to your accounting software automatically:
- Sales — each UniPay payment creates a corresponding sales entry in Xero/MYOB, including date, amount, and payment reference
- Payouts — each payout to your bank is recorded as a bank receipt in your accounting software, matched to the corresponding sales entries
- Tier Service Rate — the rate deducted from each payment received is recorded as a fee expense automatically
Connecting Xero
- Open the UniPay app → Settings → Integrations → Xero
- Tap Connect Xero — you'll be redirected to Xero's login page
- Log in to your Xero account and authorise UniPay access
- Select the Xero organisation you want to connect
- Choose the account in Xero where UniPay revenue should be recorded (typically a "UniPay Sales" account or your standard revenue account)
- Tap Save — the connection is live
Connecting MYOB
- Open the UniPay app → Settings → Integrations → MYOB
- Tap Connect MYOB — you'll be redirected to MYOB's authorisation page
- Log in and authorise UniPay
- Select your MYOB company file
- Map the UniPay income category to the appropriate account in your chart of accounts
- Tap Save
Tip: Ask your bookkeeper or accountant which account to map UniPay income to before connecting — this ensures the data lands in the right place from the start.
How often does it sync?
Syncs happen in near real-time. Payments appear in Xero or MYOB within a few minutes of being received. Payouts are recorded as soon as they are processed by UniPay.
Disconnecting an integration
To disconnect Xero or MYOB: Settings → Integrations → [Xero or MYOB] → Disconnect. This stops future syncs. Existing data in your accounting software is not affected.
Troubleshooting
If transactions aren't appearing in Xero or MYOB:
- Check the connection is still active under Settings → Integrations
- Reconnect the integration if the authorisation has expired (Xero and MYOB tokens expire periodically)
- Make sure the account mapping is correct and the target account exists
- Contact [email protected] if the issue persists
