UniPay lets businesses accept UNC from customers via QR code scan or NFC tap-to-pay. This article walks you through creating a UniPay account and taking your first payment.

What you need to get started

Setup steps

Accepting your first payment

Once your account is verified, accepting payments is simple:

  1. Open the UniPay app and tap Quick Sale
  2. Enter the amount in UNC
  3. A QR code appears on screen — the customer scans it with their UniCash app
  4. The payment appears in your UniPay dashboard instantly
No chargebacks. Because a UniPay payment is made in full at the point of sale, there's no card-style chargeback — a customer can't force a reversal through their bank. The moment a customer pays, the UNC is in your balance.

Can I have multiple locations?

Yes. You can register multiple locations under one UniPay account. Each location gets its own QR code and can have its own Terminal device. All balances and reporting are visible in the main dashboard.

How long does verification take?

Business verification typically takes 1–2 business days after you submit your documents. You'll receive an email and in-app notification when your account is approved. If you need faster processing, contact us at [email protected].
