When you're ready to transfer your UniPay balance to your bank account, you request an on-demand payout from the app. You control when and how much you transfer.
Before your first payout
Make sure you have added and verified your bank account. Go to UniPay app → Settings → Bank account. Enter your BSB and account number. A small verification transfer may be made to confirm the account is correct.
How to request a payout
- Open the UniPay app and tap Payout from the dashboard
- Enter the amount you'd like to transfer (or tap "Transfer all")
- The app shows the amount you'll receive — payouts are free, so you receive exactly your balance
- Confirm the payout — the request is submitted immediately
- You'll receive a confirmation email with the payout details
How long does a payout take?
Payouts are sent to your nominated bank account over Australia's fast payment network (PayID / NPP), so they arrive almost instantly — no settlement window, no daily cut-off.
About service rates and payouts
UniPay's Tier Service Rate is applied to each payment when you receive it — not at payout. Your balance always reflects the net amount. When you request a payout, you receive your full available balance with no further deduction.
Service rates by tier:
- Starter — 1.2% per payment received
- Growth — 1.0% per payment received
- Business — 0.8% per payment received
- Enterprise — 0.6% per payment received
Bank payouts are free. See Pricing and service rates for full details.
Can I change my bank account?
Yes. Go to Settings → Bank account → Edit. Any pending payout requests are not affected — they will process to the bank account that was active when the request was made. New payout requests will use the updated account.
My payout hasn't arrived
Payouts usually arrive within minutes. If yours hasn't arrived within a couple of hours, contact us at [email protected] with your payout reference number (visible in Payout history in the app).
